Adana kebap

Adana kebap is a traditional Turkish dish made with minced meat, typically lamb or beef, mixed with various spices and herbs. The meat mixture is then skewered and grilled over charcoal. The name “Adana” comes from the city of Adana in southern Turkey, where this delicious kebab originated.

To make Adana kebap, the minced meat is often combined with ingredients such as onion, garlic, red pepper flakes, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. The mixture is kneaded thoroughly to ensure that the flavors are well incorporated. Then, it is molded onto metal skewers, traditionally by hand, into long, sausage-like shapes.

The skewers are grilled over charcoal or an open flame until cooked through, resulting in a flavorful and juicy kebab. Adana kebap is typically served with flatbread, such as lavash or pide, along with grilled vegetables, salad, and yogurt sauce.

It’s a popular dish both in Turkey and internationally, loved for its rich flavor and aromatic spices
